Updated

    This SVG to PNG converter turns SVG logos, icons and illustrations into PNG images at the size you need. Because SVG is a vector format, you can export at any resolution and the edges stay perfectly sharp.

    How to use the SVG to PNG Converter

    1. 1 Drop one or more SVG images on the box, or click to choose them.
    2. 2 Each image is converted as soon as it is added.
    3. 3 Download each image, or click Download all.

    Worked examples

    Logo for social media

    Input: logo.svg, size 2048 px wide

    Result: logo.png, 2048 px wide, transparent

    Icon for a retina screen

    Input: icon.svg at 24 × 24, size 2×

    Result: icon.png at 48 × 48

    Sharp on high-resolution displays.

    Why convert SVG to PNG?

    SVG describes shapes with maths rather than pixels, so it stays sharp at any size and is perfect for logos and icons on websites. But many places do not accept SVG: social networks, email signatures, office documents, app stores and most image upload forms want a PNG or JPG. Converting to PNG keeps the transparent background and the crisp edges.

    Choosing the size

    Because an SVG has no fixed resolution, the converter lets you pick one:

    • 1× uses the size written in the SVG itself;
    • 2× and 4× make sharper images for high-resolution (retina) screens and print;
    • 512, 1024 or 2048 px wide gives an exact width, with the height following the SVG's proportions.

    If the SVG has no size of its own, its viewBox is used, and failing that 1024 × 1024 pixels.

    How the SVG to PNG converter works

    Your browser renders the SVG exactly as it would on a web page and saves the result as a PNG with transparency. Fonts that are not installed on your device and images linked from other websites cannot be loaded for security reasons, so convert text to outlines and embed images in the SVG if they are missing in the result.

    Private by design

    Your images are processed by your own browser and never uploaded to a server, so they stay on your device. There is no watermark, no sign-up and no limit on how many images you convert.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is the background transparent?

    Yes. PNG keeps the SVG's transparency.

    Which size should I choose for a logo?

    2048 px wide is a good choice for social media and documents; 2× is enough for websites.

    Why is text or an image missing from my PNG?

    Fonts not installed on your device and images linked from other sites cannot be used. Convert text to outlines and embed images in the SVG.

    Can I convert several SVG files at once?

    Yes. Drop several files; they are all converted at the size you chose.
