How words are counted
A word is any run of letters or numbers, including internal apostrophes and hyphens ("don't", "well-known"). Characters are counted as user-perceived characters, so an emoji or accented letter counts as one.
Flesch reading ease
Scores from 60–70 are plain English that most adults read comfortably. Lower scores indicate denser text — shorten sentences and prefer shorter words to raise it.
Private by design
All processing happens in your browser. Your text is never uploaded, logged or stored on a server.
