Convert to
Lower = smaller file. Ignored for PNG, BMP and ICO.
Fills transparent pixels (JPG, BMP, PDF).
This image converter handles any format in one place: drop your images, pick the output format — JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, ICO or PDF — and download the results. Convert one image or a whole batch at once.

Worked examples
Input: 12 PNG screenshots
Result: 12 WebP files, 40–60% smaller
Drop all at once; they convert as soon as they are added.
Input: logo.png, 512 × 512
Result: logo.ico with sizes 16, 32, 48, 64, 128 and 256 px
The ICO file contains all sizes for every screen density.
Input: photo.jpg
Result: photo.pdf, the photo fills the page
Useful for uploading a photo to a form that only accepts PDF.
Input: large-photo.jpg, 4000 × 3000
Result: 1280 × 960 WebP, much smaller file
Choose "Max width 1280 px" before converting.
All output formats in one tool
Most image converters handle one direction at a time. This tool gives you every format in a single drop zone:
- JPG — the universal photo format. Lossy compression keeps files small; set quality from 1 to 100. Transparent pixels are replaced with the background colour you choose, because JPG has no alpha channel.
- PNG — lossless, with full transparency support. Best for screenshots, logos, diagrams and anything with text.
- WebP — the modern web format. Typically 25–50% smaller than JPG at the same visual quality, and it keeps transparency like PNG.
- BMP — uncompressed Windows bitmap. No quality loss, but the file is large. Useful when a legacy program requires BMP.
- ICO — the favicon format. The converter puts the image into all the standard sizes (16, 32, 48, 64, 128 and 256 px) in a single .ico file, so every browser and screen density picks the right one.
- PDF — places the image on a page whose size matches the image exactly. Use this when a form asks for a PDF but you only have a photo.
Batch conversion
Drop as many images as you like at once. As soon as you add files or change a setting — format, quality, resize — the whole batch re-converts automatically. Each result shows the original and converted sizes so you can see the trade-off. Use Download all to save everything at once.
Resize while converting
The resize options let you change the pixel size as part of the conversion:
- Max width / Max height — scales the image down proportionally if it is wider or taller than the limit. Images already smaller are not enlarged.
- Fit within W × H — the image fits inside the bounding box, keeping its proportions.
- Exact W × H — stretches to exactly the given size; use this when a form requires specific pixel dimensions.
Quality and background colour
For JPG and WebP, the quality slider sets the trade-off between file size and sharpness. 85 is the default — a good balance for most photos. Below 60 you will start to see compression artefacts.
JPG, BMP and PDF cannot store transparency, so any transparent pixels in the source image are filled with the background colour you choose (white by default). PNG and WebP keep the original transparency.
Private by design
Your images are processed by your own browser and never uploaded to a server, so they stay on your device. There is no watermark, no sign-up and no limit on how many images you convert.
Frequently asked questions
Which input formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), BMP, SVG, AVIF, ICO and TIFF — any format your browser can open.
Can I convert many images at once?
Yes. Drop as many files as you like and they all convert with the same settings. Use Download all to save them in one click.
Why does my ICO file contain multiple sizes?
Operating systems and browsers pick the size that best matches the screen. Including 16, 32, 48, 64, 128 and 256 px covers every common use, from browser tabs to desktop icons.
Will converting to PNG make the file larger?
PNG is lossless, so it is often larger than JPG for photos. For graphics with flat colours, text or transparency, PNG is usually the better choice.
How do I make a small WebP from a large JPG?
Drop the JPG, click WebP, and lower the quality if needed. WebP at quality 80 typically gives a file 30–50% smaller than JPG at the same setting.
Are my images uploaded?
No. All conversion runs in your browser. Your images never leave your device.
