QR Code Generator

Create QR codes for URLs, text, Wi-Fi, email, SMS and phone numbers — custom colours, instant PNG and SVG download.

Updated

Generate a QR code in your browser and download it as a crisp PNG or scalable SVG. Codes are static — they never expire and do not route through any tracking service.

How to use the QR Code Generator

  1. 1 Choose the content type and fill in the details.
  2. 2 Adjust error correction, colours and quiet zone if needed.
  3. 3 Download as PNG (up to 2048 px) or SVG, or copy the image.

Error correction levels

QR codes contain redundant data so they still scan when partly damaged or covered.

Level Recoverable Best for
L ~7% Clean screens, maximum data
M ~15% General use (default)
Q ~25% Printed material
H ~30% Harsh environments, logos overlaid

Tips for reliable scanning

  • Keep strong contrast: dark modules on a light background.
  • Leave a quiet zone of at least four modules around the code.
  • Print at least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 × 0.8 in), larger for longer URLs or longer scanning distances.
  • Shorter content produces a simpler, easier-to-scan code.

Static vs. dynamic QR codes

These codes are static: the data is encoded directly, so they work forever with no account or redirect service. "Dynamic" codes from paid services point to a short URL that can be changed later — and stop working if the subscription ends.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. The content is encoded directly in the image and does not depend on any server.

Can I use the QR codes commercially?

Yes. The generated images are yours to use for any purpose.

How much data can a QR code hold?

Up to 2,953 bytes (about 2,900 Latin characters) at level L, or 7,089 digits. Less at higher error correction.
